This is no normal tour, as the stores are incredibly unique, some having been around for decades! Your local guide will introduce you to special handicrafts, which have been handmade by the best artisans in Mallorca, including whicker baskets, pottery and Mallorquin shoes. You will also be treated to the mouth watering llonguet, which will give you taste of a classic Mallorquin snack! By joining us on this tour, you will not only learn about the culture and fascinating history of the island, but will be supporting local entrepreneurs and keep their extraordinary traditions alive!

  • Mallorca is renowned for its rich culture and traditional hand-crafted goods. Throughout Mallorca’s long and rich history, products such as the famous siurrel clay pot to the traditional Avarca shoes, have become iconic symbols of the island. The Mallorquin locals are incredibly proud of their craft making traditions, meaning to this day, the astounding array of handicrafts are available for you to discover on our Made in Mallorca tour!

    On our shopping tour, we will take you on a journey to remember as we explore some of Palma´s unique family-owned stores. Some of these stores are up to 100 years old and have been passed down through the generations. Our local guide will take you shop to shop, as you learn about the history of these unique goods and how important they are to the culture and heritage of the Mallorquin people.

    On our first stop of the tour, we will take a walk down the serene streets and alleys of the Jewish neighborhood. The first shop is a local Mallorquin Pearl store. Learn the unique history of the Pearl manufacturing process, as you explore the magnificent display of pearls, necklaces, rings, earrings, pendants and bracelets.

    The next stop on the tour will take you to one of the last remaining basketries in Mallorca. This extraordinary family-run store is bursting with wicker items in every colour, size and pattern that you can imagine! The unbelievable craftsmanship that goes into these products is fascinating and cannot be missed!

    We will then take you to visit a store which creates the authentic and genuine Mallorquin shoes. Here you will learn about the meticulous attention and detail that goes into every tailor-made pair and view their special selection of handcrafted footwear.

    From there, we will stroll down the picturesque streets to arrive to our next destination. Here you will discover a charming Pottery shop. You will find jugs, jars, ladles, pots, pans, fruit platters, oil bottles and many more… which have all been handcrafted in the delightful village of Pòrtol. This business has been run by the same family for decades, and will be sure to satisfy all of your Pottery needs!

    Our last stop will tickle your taste buds, as we take you to one of the oldest, traditional bakeries. We want to make sure that you have the complete Mallorca experience, so we want you to try the famous Llonguet (Mallorquin sandwich).

    The local guide will give you some last tips to get the most out of your visit Mallorca, answering any questions you may have about the local restaurants and places to visit. Be sure to make the most of your local guide, as they really do know the best secret spots to feel the real culture of Mallorca!

    Child Policy: This is a child-friendly tour. Children between the ages of six and 11 inclusively are permitted on this tour at the rate listed above. Please select ‘child’ above when booking. Children under the age of six are permitted to join this tour free of charge. Please inform us at the time of booking if you’ll be bringing a child under the age of six. You can do so in the special request box on the checkout page.
